Can I privatize a single individual in my tree?

We currently don’t have the option to privatize single individuals for trees that were created online, or for GEDCOM trees.

You can privatize a single individual in a tree that you published from Family Tree Builder to your family site.

To do so, please go back into your project in Family Tree Builder, and go into the person that you would like to privatize. Click on ‘edit’ to edit their details. Go into the ‘More’ tab and make sure to check the option ‘This person is private’ (as in the picture below).

Republish your tree to your site. You should now see that individual as ‘unknown’ in your published tree.
